THE NDC'S AND NPP'S MANIFESTOS ARE WHITE ELEPHANTS. WE NEED NATIONAL POLICY* - Boadi William of Educate Africa Institute
"Fate does not play jokes" Gamal Abdel Nasser
National policy is a broad course of action adopted by national level governance in pursuit of national objectives.
Research has revealed that, about ninety percent (90%) of challenges the country is bedevil with is traced to Political Manifestos the country has been subjected to over the years instead of the implementation of a comprehensive National Policy.
Political parties are known for making brilliant promises which seeks to deceive the populace for their votes and operate but different agenda after their election in to power. We are currently reading the same old stories on the side of both the NPP and NDC.
This phenomenon could be traced as far back to the times of Gov't. Guggisburg 1919-1928 and Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana who had (10) and (7) years development plan respectively which saw massive development.
The country must develop a comprehensive National Policy like the USA, China, Germany, Singapore and others have, it should be backed by law and binding on which ever party that is in power to follow through with the stipulated plans and priorities and not fighting for new parliamentary chamber.
This will ensure continuity, accountability and eliminate the wastefulness associated with uncompleted projects started by previous administration of political opponent. Example is the affordable housing project.
In fact, those parties must halt the jokes and begin to think about all the youth not only the bootlickers. The youth are really hungry and angry.
We call on all citizens to also change their attitudes and fight for the Ghana's development devoid of parochial interest.
